Here is some of my latest work, taken over the past couple weeks.

New Painting
I have just completed a new landscape painting, depicting a mountain scene near Gothic, Colorado. The painting measures 16×20 inches and was painted with oils.

Baptism of Christ Mural
For the last several weeks I have been at work on a large commissioned work depicting the baptism of Christ. The painting, executed with acrylic paints and measuring six feet high by eight feet long, is finally completed and will be installed in the baptistery of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Florence, AL next Tuesday.
Here is a brief look back at the painting as it progressed.
First; a basic compositional sketch . . .

Then the design was transfered to a primed wood panel . . .

Here I have begun to block in the colors . . .

The sky is finished, and the mountains are taking shape . . .

Me at work on the painting . . .

The water and reflections have now been added . . .

And finally, the figures are added, the finishing touches are put on and the finished painting! (click on the image to see a larger view)
