The Sipsey Wilderness, lying in the heart of Alabama’s Black Warrior Basin, is home to some of the state’s most dramatic geologic features. Winding through miles of hollows and valleys, dozens of small streams cascade over boulders and rock faces, giving the area its nickname of the “Land of a Thousand Waterfalls.”
